There are plenty opportunities for you to get involved! One such event is the Triton Spirit Competition where you and your student organization compete against other teams in a variety of events throughout the week.

4Do you have kid-friendly Homecoming events?
Absolutely! We have Tiny Tritons Pancake Breakfast where you and your little one can get pancakes shaped like your favorite character or yourself. We’d love to have you attend Pack the Stands Basketball game to get your cheer on!

5Can I bring non-UMSL individuals to Homecoming events?
Absolutely! We’d love to meet your family and friends! Don’t forget to purchase additional tickets for Pack the Stands or the Homecoming Dinner & Dance. For additional details on each event, click here.

7What is the Triton Spirit Competition and when is registration due?
A competition that encourages student organizations to compete against one another in variety of events throughout the week to become 2019 Homecoming Champions! Interested? Mark you calendar so you don’t forget to complete the Spirit Packet registration due by February 10! Need help understanding the events, rules, and guidelines? Click here.
8Do you have to be part of a student organization to participate in the Triton Spirit Competition?
Yes, all Triton Spirit Competition participants must be part of a registered student organization. Not a part of a student organization? Check out our full list of student organizations on TritonSync and talk to the officers about joining!
9Do you have to be part of a student organization to run for Homecoming Court?
Yes, all students interested in running for Homecoming Court must be sponsored by a student organization. Not part of a student organization? Check out our full list of student organizations on TritonSync and talk to the officers about joining!
10How can I apply for Homecoming Court?
Interested? Check out the Royalty Packet for all requirements. Royalty Applications go live on October 1 and are due October 28 at 11:59pm. Homecoming Court will be announced before December 1.

12Where is this year’s Homecoming Dinner & Dance held?
Homecoming Dinner & Dance will be held at Marriott Grand in downtown. 800 Washington Ave, St. Louis, MO 63101.

13Is everyone invited to Leaders & Luminaries?
Leaders and Luminaries is a reunion that brings together current and former student leaders from a specific affiliate group. This year we are honoring leaders from Student Electronic Media Professionals' Association (SEMPA) and members of the U Radio. This event is invitation only. RSVP is required to attend.

15Do all Homecoming events cost money?
No! In fact, most events are free to students, faculty, staff, and alumni. The following events have costs associated with them:

Chili Feed - $4.00 for students; $5.00 for faculty, staff, alumni

Pack the Stands - Students, faculty, staff, and honored alumni receive free admittance. All others must pay regular admission price.

16When is the basketball Pack the Stands game?
Pack the Stands basketball game will be held on Thursday, February 21 in the Mark Twain Building. The women’s game will begin at 5:30 pm, followed by the men’s game at 7:30pm.

Homecoming celebration at UMSL began alongside the founding of the university and has remained a tradition since.
